This week, the American Academy of Pediatrics recommended that reading to your child begin at birth.
I’ve been saying this for years. The earlier you start, the more of a habit it becomes. And let’s face it, every baby loves snuggling up to someone who loves them and hearing their voice. It also beats the heck out of baby talk, as the article in Publisher’s Weekly mentions.
Tell every new parent and caregiver you know – read to your baby! (And give them a good set of board books while you’re at it. My fave? These amazing board book version of classics from BabyLit. Pride and Prejudice as a counting book? Love it!)
